I am an Assistant Professor at University of Iowa in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and a research affiliate at IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I am interested in measuring, modeling, and abating emissions from dynamic and heterogeneous aqueous environments, including lagoons, rivers, and wetlands. Prior to joining Iowa in January 2026, I completed postdoctoral training at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Systems and Energy Technologies Analysis (2023 - 2025), where I evaluated greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater treatment and conducted field experiments on indoor aerosols transport. I completed my PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University (2021) with Professors Craig Criddle and Steve Luby, followed by postdoctoral research on validating methane measurement technologies in Energy Science and Engineering (2022 - 2023) with Professor Adam Brandt. I hold a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley in Environmental Engineering Science (2012) and an M.S. from Stanford University in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2015).
